SA: Hi-tech approach to detecting native vegetation clearance
The South Australian government says satellite imagery and aerial photography are beingused to detect illegal vegetation clearing in the state's agricultural areas.
State Environment Minister JOHN HILL says recently passed legislation has given SouthAustralia the strongest native vegetation laws in the country.
He says three criminal proceedings have already been filed in court, and 11 other casesare being examined.
